When the girlfriend is not hogging the PS2 playing Guitar Hero Metallica, I am busy with Persona.

I don’t recommend this for very young kids though. Too violent. They might actually try to kill themselves to see their Persona come out. Tsk.

Final Fantasy XIII

Game developer Square Enix has released Final Fantasy XIII early this month and it is definitely something I’ve been looking forward to. Sad thing is, it doesn’t look like it will be coming to PS2, which is the only console I have at the moment. I’m not done with FFXII actually, I took a break from it and tried God of War and a few other games.

What I like about Final Fantasy, and I guess everyone else does too, is the visuals. From the first game, everyone’s been wowed by the magnificent graphics and the technology that they have. The stories are epic too, and really well developed, so are the characters.

This game is not only for boys, girls are drawn to FF too. So for those of you hunks whose girlfriend’s complain about spending too much time playing games, get this so they’ll understand and throw you their support. Although you will have to schedule game time with them.

FFXII has just added to my list of reasons for upgrading to either a PS3, or to switch over to the Xbx 360.

Vera says she can’t keep up with the tips I’ve been trying to give her when it comes to Ikariam. So here’s a handy dandy list:

In Ikariam, alliances declare one against other alliances. Most of the alliance members would participate. Soldiers would attack towns that are under the alliance, and the other members would send resources to the towns of their soldiers.

Being a soldier myself, I’m generally okay with this. Like I said, I pillage other towns when I need resources. But personally, I only attack towns that are idle, hehe. As for war…

Sometimes, napapaisip ako, it’s like the wars of my alliance are wrong.

Like there’s no reason. Parang wala namang rason.

Sabagay, war doesn’t really have reason, it doesn’t have an end. War is the end itself.

Ikariam – Defending my Towns

Ikariam ang latest sa mga games na kinalolokohan ko. It’s a free browser game that in my opinion is way better than Travian.

I’m part of a strong alliance – ranked number seven in the Delta server. I chose to be a soldier and participate in conquests since even when I was solo, I was already pillaging idle towns. Vera also plays Ikariam but she’s located quite far from where my colonies are. There are two other guys from work who are also into this game.

Strategy is the name of the game when it comes to Ikariam. As soon as you start playing you have to make strategic decisions for building your town and when or where to colonize. You also need to be quite patient in order to enjoy this game.

I hit publish and then viewed the site and the photos are totally whacked out! This is the first post I’m setting up with pictures and am so disappointed with the display. I tested on IE and it looks the same. The photos are spilling over to the next post? What’s up with that?
